Information collected
Water Project Watch receives your account identifier and email from ChatGPT sign-in. It stores your watchlist, individual project tracking choices, chosen weekly-bulletin email and verification state, subscription status identifiers, subscription-consent records, and bulletin delivery records. It does not receive or store your ChatGPT password or payment-card details.
Research-preview measurement
During the demand-validation preview, Water Project Watch stores a random first-party visitor identifier, a one-way hash of that identifier, the price-interest choice you make, a coarse traffic source category, whether you opened the email-interest link, and the date of the response. Opening that link is not treated as a completed email or business inquiry. It does not store your IP address, referring page, browsing history, or an advertising identifier in the validation database. These records and the visitor cookie expire after 90 days.
Theme preference and essential storage
Your light, dark, or system-theme choice is stored on your device. Essential secure cookies support sign-in and sign-out. The research preview uses one first-party cookie to avoid counting the same response repeatedly. Water Project Watch does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics.
How information is used
Information is used to operate your account, match projects to your watchlist, exclude projects you no longer wish to track, verify and send the weekly bulletin you requested, manage subscription access, document your subscription choice, prevent duplicate deliveries, and diagnose service failures. Your bulletin email is not used to sign you in.
Access, correction, and deletion
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account information, subject to records we must retain for legal, billing, fraud-prevention, or security purposes. Send privacy requests to support@waterprojectwatch.com.
Service providers
OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure provide hosting and delegated ChatGPT sign-in. If paid service and bulletin delivery are later activated, Stripe will process billing and the configured email provider will deliver requested messages. Each provider processes the information needed for its function under its own terms.
Retention and choices
Account and delivery data is kept while needed to provide the service and meet operational or legal obligations. You can restore hidden projects, change or stop bulletin delivery, use the stop-delivery link in any bulletin, and cancel billing in the account portal. You may also send access or deletion requests to support@waterprojectwatch.com.
Public-source data
Project records are normalized from public government sources and link back to those sources. Water Project Watch does not intentionally collect private-person contact data from them.
